Sweet & Spicy Grilled Melon

A great cooking technique that makes the most of the melon’s natural sweet flavour with smoked paprika for a kick and honey/maple for sweetness. This makes a fun side dish for all summer gatherings and can be done on the griddle pan or directly on the BBQ.

Ingredients:

1 Melon

1 tsp Smoked paprika

2 tbsp Honey / Maple syrup

Recipe:

  1. Cut the melon open lengthwise, then scoop out the seeds. Slice in wedges and sprinkle each with smoked paprika.
  2. Preheat the grill or a griddle pan. Grill melon slices for about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Remove from the grill and place onto a serving plate and drizzle with honey to taste.

How to store

Store in an airtight container, in the fridge for up to 3 days.
