Pear and Berry Nutty Oat Crumble 

Make a vegan oat crumble with this easy recipe, perfect for everyday baking and occasions. 

Substitutes:

  • No pear? Use any fruits you like for this crumble such as apples, mangoes, pineapples, rhubarb, blackberries or plums. 
  • Vegan? Use vegan butter. 
  • No pecans? For the mixed nuts feel free to use any mix of nuts you like such as hazelnuts, almonds, pistachios and more! 
  • No cinnamon? Try with ground ginger instead.
  • No yoghurt? Serve with custard or ice cream instead.

Ingredients:

1 Pear

120 g Blueberries

50 g Rolled oats

40 g Mixed nuts (flaked almonds, pecans, walnuts )

50 g Cold unsalted butter (diced )

1 tsp Ground cinnamon

1 tbsp Light brown sugar

2 tbsp Yoghurt (for serving )

Recipe:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/180c fan/6 gas mark. Cut the pear into small chunks. Place the pear and blueberries in a medium baking dish. 
  2. In a bowl, add the oats, lightly crushed mixed nuts, cinnamon, sugar, and butter. Rub the ingredients together using your fingertips until the mixture forms clumps. Scatter over the fruit.
  3. Bake for 20-30 minutes, until golden and bubbling. Serve warm with a dollop of yoghurt.
