Total time: 30 minutes
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
1 Cauliflower (small )
280 g Firm tofu
1 tbsp Cornflour
3 tbsp Hoisin sauce
1 tbsp Sesame oil
2 tbsp Soy sauce
2 tbsp Olive oil
1 tbsp Sesame seeds
½ Cucumber
6 Lettuce leaves
Recipe:
- Cut the cauliflower into small florets. Drain and pat the tofu dry with a clean tea towel or kitchen paper, then cut it into cubes.
- Place the tofu cubes in a bowl and toss them with the cornflour to coat. Set aside.
- In a bowl, combine the hoisin sauce, sesame oil and soy sauce. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the cauliflower florets and cook for 5 minutes, until tender, adding a splash of water halfway through to create steam and aid in cooking. Transfer the cauliflower to a plate.
- Return the pan to medium heat and add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Pan-fry the tofu cubes for about 5 minutes, until golden and crispy.
- Add the cauliflower back into the pan with the hoisin sauce mixture. Toss well to coat everything and cook for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens and evenly coats the cauliflower and tofu. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Divide the mixture between lettuce leaves and top with cucumber matchsticks. Enjoy!
