Apple fritters with Cinnamon Sugar
Fruit fritters are easy, quick and so delicious you just can’t go wrong by making them. Try the same recipe with other fruits such as bananas, pineapple, pears or peaches.
Substitute:
- No apples? Try with bananas (cut lengthwise), pineapple, pears or peaches.

Ingredients:
2 Apples
100 g Self raising flour
1 Egg / Flax seed
70 ml Milk of choice
2 tbsp Butter (for cooking )
For the cinnamon sugar:
1 tsp Ground cinnamon
3 tbsp Caster sugar
Recipe:
- In a mixing bowl, add the flour, egg (if vegan, add your flaxseed mixed with a few tbsp of water) and milk of your choice. Mix until combined and set aside.
- Core and slice the apples into 1 cm thick rings.
- Add the apple rings to the batter and mix until well-coated.
- In another mixing bowl, combine the ground cinnamon and sugar. Set aside.
- Melt the butter in a large frying pan over a medium-high heat.
- Lift one apple ring at a time from the batter and gently place in the pan. Cook the fritters for 3-4 minutes on each side, until puffed and golden. Repeat until you have cooked all the fritters.
- When cooked, add the fritters to the cinnamon sugar, toss to coat and enjoy!
How to store
Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a hot oven.
