You’ll love these simple and tasty vegetarian air fryer recipes, from roasted vegetables to crispy tofu, we’ve got you covered.
Are Air Fryers Healthy?
Air fryers are generally considered a healthier option than traditional deep fryers. They cook food by circulating hot air, requiring minimal or no added oil, resulting in lower fat and calorie content. Compared to deep frying, air fryers also help retain more nutrients in the food. Although air-fried foods may not taste exactly like deep-fried ones, they still offer a crispy exterior and a tender interior without the excess oil.
Benefits Of Air-Frying:
- Uses less oil (leading to lower calorie meals)
- Preserves more nutrients
- Minimises the presence of acrylamide (the primary compound found in deep-fried foods)
- Uses less energy than other cooking methods
How To Use An Air Fryer?
Using an air fryer is simple. Preheat it, coat your food lightly with oil, place it in the basket, and set the time and temperature. Remember to shake or flip the food halfway through for even cooking. Keep an eye on it, and once done, enjoy your crispy and healthy air-fried meal.
